Hinged shower door

The second most common type of shower door is the hinged door. Occasionally, the glass panels will be frameless. As shown in the image to the left, the glass is secured by hinges and clamps. In effect, the glass without framing gives a cleaner look. Moreover, installing glass panels without framing is more difficult than installing glass panels with framing. Consequently, frameless glass doors should be installed by a specialist. Also, stores are less likely to stock this type of door.
