Tile Installation San Diego

Many tile installations need more than a tile installer. A bathroom remodel or a shower only remodel needs demo, plumbing, and waterproofing. We are a tile contractor in San Diego that can take care of all of that. Most demolition jobs turn into a dusty mess. Our team will make sure that the dust is as contained as possible. We take all of the trash away from the site. Our team will not fill your can with our garbage. All phases of the remodel process are carried out carefully and thoughtfully. All of us communicate effectively with our clients, giving them the ability to make additional decisions as their San Diego tile installation job shapes up.

Tile Stripes and Shampoo Shelf installation

Most of our shower remodels come with special features such as stripes and recessed shampoo shelves. Other features are also available to go with most tile installations. Windows generally get tile in their sills. Corner shampoo shelves and surface mounted soap dishes can also be installed. Sometimes the tile stripe can go through the recessed shampoo shelf. We can inlay dots, medallions, or murals. The design possibilities truly are endless. It takes knowledge, skill, experience, patients, and a lot of physical effort to accomplish a great tile installation. Some people might think that tile installation is a dying art. We are proud to provide our San Diego communities with such a valuable service, while preserving our art with honor and gratitude.

Tile Pony Wall/Half Wall Installation

Another special feature we can add to your San Diego tile installation can be a pony wall. Pony walls are a practical solution whenever a shower partition is required. A pony wall, or sometimes called a half wall, provides the separation of areas without taking away the open feeling of the space. Often, a fixed panel of glass is mounted on top of the pony wall to provide additional water containment.

Tile Shower Bench Installation

Bench seats are a good way to be able to relax better in the shower. A bench seat is about knee height and is tiled all the way down to the shower pan. People with mobility issues due to injury or age will find that a shower bench is the perfect way to help with mobility or balance problems. Make sure to discuss these options with your tile contractor so you can make the best decision possible for your home and bathroom.

Tile Suspended Corner Seat Installation

In addition to the shower bench, the suspended corner seat is a viable option in most cases. I like to frame my seat to the studs with 2×4’s. Sheet it with the proper tile backing. Mud and tape the seems. Waterproof the whole thing, then install the tile, and grout it. I prefer this method to purchasing a prefabricated corner seat. The suspended corner seat is mounted to the wall in such a way as to provide storage space underneath it. This additional storage space is ideal for more shampoo, conditioner, or soap. This open bottom feature is in contrast with the closed bottom of the shower bench.

Woodlook tiled floor San Diego

San Diego Tile Flooring Installation Contractor

Floors are a basic type of tile installation, but floors can be very laborious and time consuming. Large floors will require several heavy boxes of tile to be purchased, transported, and installed. Large floors also require extensive amount of prep time. Tile itself has many different varieties of material and patterns. Our team appreciates a thoughtful and carefully planned design. Especially the simple but effective type of design. Ceramic and porcelain tile seem to be the most popular types of material, while staggered joint, block, or brick seem to be among the most popular patterns. Natural stone tiles are also a nice choice for certain spaces. Granite, Marble, and Limestone rank among the most popular stone choices, while slate is an excellent choice for exterior applications. Standard tile patters, also called grid pattern , or stacked, can be a more fitting look when a clean and simple design is desired.
